Terms & Conditions

The Customer. The customer is the person making the booking and who is solely responsible for said booking.

Acceptance Of Services. Customers accepting our service verbally or in writing are entering into a legally binding contract. Volkswagen Weddings will not accept any liability for disappointment caused by circumstances beyond its control.

Deposits. A deposit of £50 is required on booking which is non refundable, the balance is due 30 days prior to the engagement. 

Payment. A deposit is required on making a booking, the balance is then due 30 days prior to the booking date. If a booking is made with only 30 days until the engagement then the full balance must be paid on booking.

The Booking Price. The Booking Price is the price quoted once a route, and all requirements have been established with Volkswagen Weddings and the Client. Our price will always be quoted as an all inclusive price and is the price you will pay therefore no VAT or hidden charges will be added at a later date. Please note that for bookings commencing after 6pm a 25% surcharge will be added to the booking price.  Any overrun of booked time due to alterations made on the day of hire must be paid for at the time of the rental in cash (full hours only).

How to pay. We accept several ways of payment. Personal cheques, bankers draft, postal orders all made payable to Tracy McEwan. We also accept payments made through paypal an internet based payment system where by as a registered user payments can be made using credit or debit cards, using this service carries a 5% surcharge and must be done with the prior agreement with Volkswagen Weddings regarding totals to be paid, to find out more about paypal payments visit paypal.com. Last minute payments should be made either through paypal or by sending a bankers draft or postal orders via registered post to ensure next day delivery.

Cancellations. Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the engagement otherwise the client will be asked to pay the full outstanding balance. In the event of cancellation by The Hirer more than 30 days before the hire period, any deposit paid would be forfeit. A full refund will be given minus the deposit if the cancellation falls outside the 30 day period.

Complimentary Gifts. A bottle of champagne is given courtesy of Volkswagen Weddings with every booking.

Responsibility. The Company cannot accept responsibility for adverse weather conditions, or acts by other persons or organisations which may impact adversely on the hire period, although we will do all we can to maintain appropriate standards despite difficulties not occasioned by ourselves.

Serviceability. Whilst every effort is afforded to maintain the serviceability of the vehicles, responsibility cannot be accepted for mechanical, electrical or material breakdown whatsoever. In this unlikely event, every effort will be made for the immediate repair to the vehicle so that the journey can continue, or The Hirer will be transferred to another vehicle{s} so that the journey can continue. Any reasonable extra cost incurred will be borne by The Company, or refund given.  In the event of a breakdown or accident to the vehicle, booked prior to the date of the booking, every effort will be made to supply an alternative vehicle{s} at the Company’s discretion. If this is not acceptable to The Hirer a refund will be made of monies paid.
In the event of breakdown or accident, no responsibility will be accepted for missed connections and/or functions howsoever caused.

No Smoking Policy.We have a strict no smoking policy in all of the cars.

Misuse. The Hirer will levy a £100.00 valeting charge if the vehicle(s) are misused through food, drink or illness or whatever the retail cost may be if in excess of this amount to rectify said damage caused.

Booking and Transport Refusal. The Management reserve the right to refuse a booking.  The Management also reserve the right to refuse entry to the vehicle or to any person(s) they deem unfit for whatsoever reason, and can refuse to continue the journey if any person(s) behave in a manner which may be detrimental to any other person or the vehicles and its contents.  In this event, no refund of monies paid will be given.

Damage By Customers. Customers must note that they are liable for any damage caused both inside and outside the vehicles or loss of any property belonging to Volkswagen Weddings by themselves or any of their party.

Loss Of Belongings. Volkswagen Weddings will not accept any liability for any belongings lost by the booking party whilst using its services.

Photographs. Volkswagen weddings will take photographs at your event, we  may use them on  our web site or other promotional material. If you would not like these photos to be used, please advise us at the time of confirmation.

Children.  Due to changes in the law and the age of the vehicles supplied, we are unable to transport any children under the age of 12.

Bookings are accepted only on the understanding that the client understands and accepts the above Volkswagen Weddings terms and conditions and the payment of the deposit signifies such acceptance.
